URLZ compared with Bitly and TinyURL

Bitly and TinyURL are well-known shorteners. URLZ is a free alternative for the same basic job: turn a long URL into a short one, then share it or put it in a QR code. URLZ also lets you change a destination later from My Links, set an expiry or a click cap, and customize the QR code in the browser. The API is free within its own 300 requests a day. URLZ does not claim to replace every paid feature of those products. It is a fan-supported shortener with QR tools, analytics for signed-in owners, and open documentation.
